Senior Technical Project Manager | Pakistan

We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to lead a diverse range of projects from initial design through to successful implementation. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional managerial and client-handling skills, with the ability to motivate and oversee multiple cross-regional teams simultaneously. This role requires innovative leadership to break down customer specifications into clear tasks and timelines, ensuring delivery of high-value outcomes. You will be responsible for maintaining consistent improvements in code quality and project delivery while managing client expectations and fostering strong relationships with client teams and managers.

Key Responsibilities

- Set and manage client expectations proactively, identifying potential issues early and communicating effectively.
- Oversee and support the analysis, design, and development of mobile and web application projects, including integration efforts.
- Lead and manage teams comprising software developers, quality assurance engineers, and designers.
- Uphold a rigorous commitment to code quality, staying informed about the latest technologies and architectural approaches.
- Apply advanced Agile methodologies and best practices in project development.
- Evaluate technical decisions, develop project timelines and plans, and ensure adherence to best technical standards.
- Engage effectively with client teams and managers, anticipating and addressing potential issues or escalations.
- Build and maintain excellent client relationships to support business growth opportunities.
- Demonstrate perfectionism by ensuring tasks are completed correctly and thoroughly.
- Motivate and manage teams to achieve high performance and collaboration.
- Drive workplace efficiency through continuous automation of software engineering processes.
- Manage projects with comprehensive oversight to ensure scope, budget, and timeline compliance.
- Develop detailed project plans that align customer requirements with company objectives, coordinating across multiple teams and phases.
- Monitor project progress continuously, providing detailed reports on milestones and deliverables.
- Communicate proactively with all stakeholders to encourage collaboration, resolve problems, and implement improvements.
- Anticipate future project needs by maintaining direct communication with customers and staying updated on industry trends.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
- 10 to 14 years of management experience in IT, including development and client interaction.
- Minimum of 5 years hands-on development experience in any programming language.
- Ability to engage in high-level technical discussions and effectively communicate summaries to executives.
- Strong understanding of code review processes and management of technical debt.
- Experience delivering at least 2 to 4 full projects as a Technical Project Manager, including scoping, sizing, team formation, and costing.
- Proficiency in Agile methodologies, Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), and Service Level Agreements (SLA).
- Skilled in making technical decisions collaboratively with technology teams and external stakeholders.
- Experience in software application development, open-source projects, mobile platforms, integration, or data migration.
- Solid analytical skills, particularly in programming and architectural design.
- Hands-on experience with project management tools.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to identify, assess, and report risks, suggesting appropriate risk treatments.
- Commitment to adhering to Information Security Management System (ISMS) policies, procedures, and controls.
- Prompt reporting of security incidents and maintaining competencies to fulfill ISMS responsibilities effectively.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits

- Experience with AWS and Test-Driven Development (TDD) is desirable but not mandatory.
- Exposure to Big Data project deliveries on cloud infrastructure is a plus.
- Strong remote management skills, including proficiency with collaboration tools such as Skype, GoToMeeting, Zoom, and Google Docs.
