Senior User Interface Designer

Al Fazal Public School, a long-standing institution providing free education to children in rural Sindh since 1999, is expanding its mission by developing a free online learning platform for students across Pakistan. We are seeking a creative and motivated Volunteer UI/UX Designer to help design an intuitive, accessible, and mobile-first digital platform. This platform will offer recorded lessons, live classes, notes, and quizzes primarily for students from Grade 9 and above, with content contributed by volunteer university students, graduates, educators, and subject specialists. The research phase is complete, and pilot content development is underway; now we need a UI/UX designer to transform the learning experience into a clean and user-friendly interface.

Key Responsibilities
- Design user flows and wireframes that enhance the digital learning experience.
- Develop a clear content structure organized as Class → Subject → Chapter → Lecture.
- Create a clean, modern, and mobile-first interface suitable for students with varying levels of digital literacy.
- Design layouts optimized for low-bandwidth and unreliable internet conditions.
- Develop bilingual user experiences in both English and Urdu.
- Build reusable UI components and establish basic design guidelines.
- Collaborate closely with researchers, educators, content writers, and e-learning developers.
- Contribute innovative ideas to improve the overall student learning experience.

Required Qualifications
- Basic to strong knowledge of UI/UX design principles.
- Experience using Figma or similar design tools.
- Understanding of user flows, wireframes, and responsive design techniques.
- Good visual design skills, including typography.
- Ability to design with accessibility and usability in mind.
- Interest in education, technology, or social impact initiatives.
- Open to students, recent graduates, and early-career designers.
