Senior Video Editor

Unigenius Consultants, a UK-based educational consultancy specializing in guiding students to universities across the UK, Europe, the USA, Canada, and Australia, is seeking a creative and experienced Senior Video Editor & Social Media Content Strategist. This full-time remote role based in Pakistan offers an exciting opportunity to enhance the company’s social media presence through engaging, high-quality video content. The successful candidate will oversee the entire video production process, from researching trends and developing concepts to editing and publishing polished videos that increase brand visibility and effectively communicate course information.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct research on engaging content, social media campaigns, and competitor activity to identify opportunities for Unigenius.
- Stay current with video trends, platform updates, editing techniques, and audience preferences.
- Develop original content ideas and maintain a consistent content calendar.
- Write compelling scripts featuring strong hooks, clear messaging, and effective calls to action.
- Provide detailed briefs, shot lists, and filming instructions to the recording team.
- Edit raw footage into professional videos optimized for platforms such as Instagram Reels, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube Shorts.
- Manage all post-production elements including pacing, transitions, text overlays, subtitles, captions, motion graphics, color correction, grading, music, and sound design.
- Ensure all videos adhere to brand guidelines and present course details accurately, verifying information with the team before release.
- Create thumbnails, cover images, captions, and platform-specific video formats.
- Schedule and publish content across social media channels.
- Monitor video performance metrics such as views, engagement, audience growth, and inquiries to inform future content strategies.
- Organize footage, project files, and final videos while managing deadlines and revisions efficiently.

Required Qualifications

- A strong portfolio showcasing professional video editing and engaging social media content.
- Proven experience in content ideation, scriptwriting, and editing short-form videos.
- Advanced proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, or equivalents.
- Skilled in motion graphics, typography, subtitles, color grading, and audio editing.
- Solid understanding of social media trends, audience behavior, and content performance analytics.
- Ability to translate competitor research into original, brand-aligned content ideas.
- Excellent written English skills for scripting, captions, and communication with the UK-based team.
- High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently.
- Reliable internet connection and access to a computer capable of professional video editing.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits

Experience in education, student recruitment, or consultancy marketing is advantageous. This role offers a competitive monthly salary ranging from PKR 100,000 to 150,000, with the potential for a higher offer for exceptional candidates. As a full-time remote position, it provides creative ownership and the chance to shape Unigenius’s video content and social media strategy. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with a recording team that executes video shoots based on their scripts and creative direction.
