We are seeking a skilled Vue/Nuxt Engineer with over four years of front-end development experience, including at least two years working with Vue 3 and Nuxt in production environments. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and building a new Nuxt-based marketing website from the ground up for a US-based client. This project involves replacing a legacy site that has grown too complex to maintain and automate efficiently. You will begin by analyzing the existing codebase, then establish the architecture and develop a site that programmatically generates pages from an ad-automation pipeline while ensuring optimal speed and compliance. The client’s design team will manage UX, while you will lead delivery and mentor a mid-level engineer.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct discovery on the legacy codebase, thoroughly documenting its current functionality.
- Propose and take ownership of a clean, maintainable architecture for the new Nuxt website.
- Develop scalable page generation integrated with an ad-automation pipeline.
- Convert designs provided by the client’s UX team into fully functional production pages.
- Manage Core Web Vitals, SEO strategies, and rendering approaches including SSR, SSG, and hybrid models.
- Implement tag managers, analytics, and call-tracking scripts with minimal impact on load times.
- Integrate client compliance requirements into the site from the outset.
- Establish and enforce code quality, testing protocols, and review standards.
- Lead and review the work of a mid-level front-end engineer.
- Collaborate directly with client stakeholders to discuss scope, trade-offs, and project timelines.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 4 years of front-end development experience, with at least 2 years focused on Vue 3 and Nuxt in production.
- Proven experience architecting content-heavy or programmatic websites with numerous generated pages.
- Strong expertise in SEO, Core Web Vitals, and various rendering modes.
- Hands-on experience with tag managers, analytics tools, and call-tracking scripts, including understanding their performance implications.
- Proficiency in TypeScript.
- Excellent communication skills and confidence in working directly with client stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Experience working with headless CMS platforms.
- Background in mentoring or leading front-end engineers.
- Previous experience in consulting or client-facing delivery roles.
Perks and Benefits
- Gym, travel, and food allowances.
- Annual certification opportunities.
- Paid time off and holidays.
- Bi-annual performance reviews and bonuses.
This role offers a unique opportunity to lead the redevelopment of a critical marketing platform while working closely with a dynamic client team. If you have a passion for clean architecture, performance optimization, and technical leadership, this position is an excellent fit.
