We are seeking a Senior Vue Engineer with proven experience leading an Angular-to-Vue migration in a live production environment. In this role, you will spearhead the technical transition of our core product from Angular to Vue 3, ensuring the process is seamless and does not disrupt business operations. Leveraging AI coding tools will be a key part of your strategy to accelerate the migration while maintaining high quality and stability.

Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute a comprehensive Angular-to-Vue 3 migration plan, including sequencing, coexistence strategies such as micro-frontends or module federation, and rollback procedures.
- Translate Angular concepts into idiomatic Vue patterns, converting components, services, dependency injection, RxJS streams, and routing into Vue 3 equivalents like Composition API, Pinia, and Vue Router.
- Develop shared foundational assets for the team, including component libraries, design tokens, API clients, authentication handling, and testing utilities.
- Deliver production-ready features using Vue 3, TypeScript, Composition API, Pinia, Vue Router, and Vite.
- Implement AI-assisted workflows to streamline migration tasks, including codemods, prompt libraries, and review checklists that ensure repeatability and safety.
- Maintain consistent quality and performance throughout the migration with unit, component, and end-to-end testing, alongside monitoring bundle size and Core Web Vitals.
- Conduct code reviews, mentor engineers new to Vue, and document migration processes through clear guides and architecture decision records.
- Collaborate closely with product management, design, QA, and backend teams to ensure a smooth migration that aligns with customer needs and product roadmaps.

Required Qualifications
- Minimum 6 years of professional frontend development experience, including at least 3 years building production applications with Vue 3 and the Composition API.
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience with Angular (version 2+), covering services, dependency injection, RxJS, NgModules or standalone components, and Angular routing.
- Direct involvement in at least one Angular-to-Vue migration, preferably as a technical lead, with the ability to discuss successes, challenges, and lessons learned.
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript and modern JavaScript.
- Deep understanding of state management solutions such as Pinia or Vuex, and strategies to replace RxJS-heavy patterns effectively.
- Experience with build tools and architectures for large-scale applications, including Vite, Webpack, monorepos, and incremental migration techniques.
- Solid testing skills using tools like Vitest, Jest, Vue Test Utils, Cypress, or Playwright.
- Regular, practical use of AI coding tools (e.g., Claude, GitHub Copilot, Cursor) with a proven track record of leveraging them to accelerate development without compromising quality.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence in leading technical decisions and guiding teams.

Preferred Qualifications and Additional Expertise
- Experience with Nuxt 3 or server-side rendering frameworks.
- Background in building or maintaining design systems or component libraries such as Storybook, Vuetify, PrimeVue, or Quasar.
- Familiarity with writing codemods or AST transforms using tools like jscodeshift, ts-morph, or Babel to automate large-scale refactors.
- Knowledge of micro-frontend architectures, including Module Federation or single-spa.
- Experience integrating large language model (LLM) APIs into products or internal tooling.
- Expertise in accessibility standards (WCAG 2.2) and performance optimization for large single-page applications.
- Contributions to open-source projects within the Vue or Angular ecosystems.

AI Utilization Expectations
We expect you to treat AI as a force multiplier rather than a shortcut. This includes:
- Using AI agents and assistants to accelerate code conversion, test generation, documentation, and refactoring, while maintaining full ownership of delivered code.
- Creating reusable AI assets such as prompt templates, project context files, and conversion playbooks to support the team.
- Recognizing AI limitations in areas like subtle reactivity bugs, RxJS edge cases, security, and accessibility, and establishing safeguards accordingly.
- Tracking metrics such as components migrated per sprint, defect rates, and review times to measure AI’s impact.
- Coaching team members to effectively use AI tools and sharing insights gained.

This is an in-person position focused on driving a critical technical transformation with a forward-thinking team. If you have the expertise and leadership skills to guide this migration successfully, we encourage you to apply.
