Senior WordPress Developer

We are looking for a skilled WordPress Developer to manage both back-end and front-end development tasks, including the creation of custom WordPress themes and plugins. The ideal candidate will possess strong programming skills in PHP, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript, combined with a keen eye for design elements such as layout, color schemes, and typography. A solid understanding of current industry trends and content management systems is essential to succeed in this role.

Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement new features and functionalities for WordPress websites.
- Establish and maintain the overall architecture of the website to ensure scalability and performance.
- Ensure high availability and optimal performance while managing all technical aspects of the CMS.
- Collaborate on creating effective, responsive designs and translate them into fully functional themes and plugins.

Required Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of front-end technologies including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery.
- Experience in building user interfaces for websites or web applications.
- Proven ability to design and develop responsive websites that work seamlessly across devices.
- Proficiency with debugging tools such as Firebug and Chrome Inspector.
- Solid understanding of CSS and its impact on cross-browser/platform consistency.
- Ability to convert detailed layouts and wireframes into functional HTML pages.
- Familiarity with interacting with RESTful APIs and working with data formats like JSON and XML.
- Experience with code versioning tools such as Git, SVN, or Mercurial.
- Strong PHP back-end development skills.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Experience with responsive and adaptive design techniques is highly preferred.
- Understanding of the full web development lifecycle, including design, development, and deployment processes.
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- At least one year of experience in WordPress development is preferred.
- Candidates who can reliably commute to or are willing to relocate to Karachi are preferred.
- This is a full-time, in-person position based in Karachi.
