SEO Assistant

We are seeking a detail-oriented SEO Specialist to join our team and support the enhancement of our online presence across multiple platforms. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting comprehensive keyword research, optimizing on-page elements, assisting with technical SEO audits, and supporting local and off-page SEO initiatives. This role requires close collaboration with content creators and web developers to ensure effective implementation of SEO strategies that drive organic traffic and improve search engine rankings. The position is based on-site and offers a competitive monthly salary.

Key Responsibilities

Keyword Research & Competitor Analysis
Conduct thorough research on primary, secondary, and long-tail keywords to identify valuable opportunities. Analyze search intent, keyword difficulty, and competitor content to inform strategy. Maintain keyword mapping and tracking spreadsheets to monitor progress. Identify keyword opportunities specifically for service pages, blogs, and location-based pages.

On-Page SEO
Optimize essential on-page elements including page titles, meta descriptions, headings, URLs, and image alt text. Implement internal linking strategies and identify orphan pages that require attention. Review website pages for duplicate content, missing metadata, and other content optimization opportunities. Upload and optimize approved content within WordPress or other CMS platforms.

Technical SEO Support
Assist in conducting website audits using tools such as Screaming Frog to identify broken links, redirect issues, missing tags, and indexing problems. Monitor Google Search Console for technical issues and report findings to the SEO Executive. Collaborate with the Web Developer to ensure timely resolution of technical SEO concerns.

Local SEO
Support the optimization of Google Business Profiles for relevant clinic locations by maintaining accurate business information and local citations. Assist with location-specific keyword research and optimize landing pages accordingly. Monitor local search visibility and profile performance to enhance local SEO efforts.

Off-Page SEO
Research and identify legitimate backlink opportunities from relevant websites. Assist with outreach tracking and citation building while maintaining detailed records of backlinks and outreach activities. Ensure all link-building efforts adhere to ethical standards, avoiding spam-based techniques.

Reporting & Coordination
Prepare weekly SEO task reports and performance summaries to track progress. Maintain keyword, audit, and optimization trackers for ongoing projects. Coordinate with the SEO Content Writer to provide keyword briefs and support content updates. Assist the SEO Executive in meeting monthly targets and deadlines.

- Quality of local SEO and backlink research

Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in keyword research, on-page, technical, local, and off-page SEO
- Familiarity with SEO tools such as Screaming Frog, Google Search Console, and CMS platforms like WordPress
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively with content writers and web developers
- Excellent organizational and reporting skills
