Shopify Developer

We are seeking a skilled Shopify Developer to join DBS and take full ownership of developing, customizing, and maintaining our e-commerce website. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Shopify, Liquid, Shopify 2.0, JavaScript, APIs, and various integrations, focusing on creating fast, responsive, and user-friendly online storefronts. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Johar Town, Lahore.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop, customize, and maintain the Shopify store to ensure optimal functionality.
- Build and customize Shopify 2.0 themes, sections, templates, and components using Liquid.
- Convert Figma/UI designs into fully responsive Shopify storefronts.
- Create effective and engaging product pages.
- Implement product search, filtering, collections, navigation, and merchandising tailored for a technical product catalog.
- Integrate Shopify APIs, third-party applications, payment gateways, shipping solutions, inventory systems, CRM/ERP, and other business tools.
- Optimize store performance, focusing on Core Web Vitals, mobile responsiveness, and overall user experience.
- Implement Shopify SEO best practices, including metadata management, URL structuring, internal linking, and technical SEO.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to storefront, integrations, themes, checkout processes, and performance.
- Collaborate closely with design, marketing, SEO, product, and business teams to continuously enhance the website.

Required Qualifications
- 2 to 5 years of professional experience in Shopify development.
- Strong proficiency in Shopify, Liquid, Shopify 2.0, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Experience working with Shopify APIs, webhooks, third-party integrations, and Shopify apps.
- Solid understanding of e-commerce user experience, including product catalogs, variants, search, filtering, and checkout workflows.
- Proven experience with SEO and website performance optimization, particularly Core Web Vitals.
- Familiarity with Git/version control systems and structured development workflows.
- Ability to independently debug, troubleshoot, and maintain production Shopify stores.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications and Additional Skills
- Experience with B2B or wholesale e-commerce platforms, especially Shopify Plus.
- Knowledge of React, Next.js, GraphQL, or headless Shopify architectures.
- Experience integrating GA4, Google Tag Manager, ERP/CRM systems, inventory management, or shipping solutions.
- Familiarity with Shopify integrations involving Klaviyo or Mailchimp.
