Digitalise-Canada is looking for a talented Shopify and WordPress Developer to join their fully remote team on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for building, customizing, and optimizing e-commerce and CMS websites. This role requires close collaboration with designers and marketers to deliver visually appealing, high-performing, and user-friendly online platforms. The working hours are Monday through Saturday, from 6:00 PM to 2:00 AM PKT, with a monthly salary range of PKR 60,000 to 70,000.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain WordPress websites, including creating custom themes, plugins, hooks, and filters.
- Optimize website performance, security, and SEO to improve user experience and search engine rankings.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly to ensure uninterrupted site functionality.
- Build, customize, and maintain Shopify stores by managing themes, apps, and Liquid templates.
- Implement and configure third-party integrations such as payment gateways and shipping solutions.
- Enhance store speed, mobile responsiveness, and overall user experience.
- Collaborate effectively with design and content teams to ensure seamless integration and consistent branding across platforms.
- Stay updated with the latest trends, tools, and best practices in e-commerce and CMS development.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of proven experience in both Shopify and WordPress development.
- Strong proficiency in PHP, Liquid, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (ES6).
- Hands-on experience with WooCommerce, including setup, customization, and payment/shipping integrations.
- Expertise in Shopify customizations, including themes, apps, Liquid templates, and API integrations.
- Skilled in performance optimization techniques such as caching, image optimization, minification, and database cleanup.
- Familiarity with Git workflows and staging/continuous integration (CI) environments.
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to work efficiently within a remote team.
