We are seeking a highly creative and skilled Video Editor with expertise in short-form video content. The ideal candidate will have a strong ability to transform raw footage into engaging, high-retention videos tailored for social media platforms. Experience with short reels, speed-ramp/speed-roll edits, talking-head videos, trending content, and promotional materials is essential. This role requires a keen eye for detail, a solid understanding of current video trends, and the ability to produce visually compelling edits that capture audience attention.
Key Responsibilities
- Edit short-form videos for platforms such as Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Facebook, and others.
- Work on a variety of content including talking-head videos, speed-ramp edits, trending clips, promotional reels, and creative short-form projects.
- Create engaging edits featuring strong pacing, hooks, smooth transitions, captions, B-roll footage, sound effects, and music integration.
- Adapt editing styles to align with evolving social media trends and platform-specific formats.
- Transform raw footage into polished, visually appealing videos that maintain viewer interest.
- Incorporate motion graphics, text animations, transitions, color correction, and sound design as needed.
- Repurpose existing footage into multiple short-form edits to maximize content usage.
- Collaborate closely with creative and marketing teams to bring video concepts to life and meet client requirements.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring high quality and timely delivery.
Required Qualifications
- Proven professional experience in video editing with a focus on short-form content.
- A strong portfolio showcasing reels, talking-head videos, speed-ramp/speed-roll edits, and trending video projects.
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, CapCut, or similar video editing software.
- Solid understanding of pacing, storytelling, hooks, audience retention, transitions, sound design, and visual composition.
- Ability to recognize and replicate current video trends and editing styles effectively.
- Excellent attention to detail and consistency in delivering polished content.
- Capability to work efficiently under deadlines while managing multiple projects.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Experience with AI video creation and AI-powered creative tools is a significant advantage.
- Familiarity with AI-generated video, text-to-video, image-to-video, AI voiceovers, AI avatars, and AI-assisted editing workflows will be highly valued.
- Openness to exploring and integrating emerging AI tools into the editing process is encouraged.
- Competitive monthly compensation ranging from Rs60,000 to Rs80,000.
- This position requires in-person work at the designated location.
