The ideal candidate will have a minimum of six years of professional experience, with at least four years focused on the administration and management of enterprise Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) platforms. This role requires a highly skilled individual who can deploy, configure, and maintain SIEM systems in line with organizational standards and procedures. The position demands a proactive approach to ensuring data integrity, system availability, and compliance with audit and reporting requirements. Candidates must be under the age of 45, with a general age relaxation of five years already applied, and no further relaxation will be considered.
Key Responsibilities
- Deploy, configure, operate, and maintain enterprise SIEM platforms according to approved standards and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Onboard and manage log sources, ensuring data integrity, normalization, and continuous availability.
- Develop, maintain, and fine-tune correlation rules, alerts, dashboards, and reports to optimize threat detection and response.
- Monitor SIEM system performance, conduct regular health checks, and ensure high availability and reliability of the platform.
- Provide technical support to Security Operations Center (SOC) analysts and incident responders by delivering in-depth analysis and creating custom queries.
- Ensure that the SIEM platform aligns with audit, compliance, and reporting requirements to meet organizational and regulatory standards.
- Document all configurations, procedures, and operational changes meticulously for transparency and future reference.
- Perform duties on a 24/7 basis as required, following approved directives to support continuous security monitoring and incident response.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 16 years of formal education, preferably holding a Master’s degree in Cyber Security, Information Security, or a related field from an HEC-recognized institution.
- Bachelor’s degrees in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, Data Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Cyber Security & Digital Forensics, Telecommunication & Networking, Electronics Engineering, or related disciplines are acceptable.
- Master’s degrees in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields are also acceptable.
- Candidates must have a strong background in managing SIEM platforms with hands-on experience in deployment, configuration, and operational support.
Preferred Qualifications and Certifications
- International certifications related to incident handling, SOC operations, or offensive security are highly desirable and will be considered an advantage.
- Experience with advanced SIEM tuning, custom query development, and integration with other security tools is preferred.
