Signage Design & Technical Development Specialist

Sign and Design is seeking a technically skilled signage professional to contribute to a commercial office-building signage project based in Lahore, Pakistan. This project involves designing and detailing various types of signage, including external facade signs, lobby branding, floor directories, office signs, washroom signs, directional signage, and fire-exit signs. The engagement is project-based and freelance, offering an opportunity to work on a comprehensive signage solution for a multi-floor commercial environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop dimensioned signage layouts, elevations, and detailed fabrication/shop drawings to guide production and installation.
- Prepare production-ready files using software such as AutoCAD, Adobe Illustrator, or CorelDRAW.
- Recommend suitable materials, thicknesses, finishes, and fabrication methods to ensure durability and aesthetic quality.
- Detail mounting arrangements, including brackets, concealed fixings, and installation requirements for seamless integration.
- Prepare signage schedules, bills of quantities (BOQ), and material take-offs to assist in project planning and procurement.
- Coordinate effectively with fabrication teams, suppliers, and site installers to ensure smooth project execution.
- Support material selection, costing, and production planning to align with project timelines and budget.

Required Qualifications

- Proven experience in commercial signage fabrication, architectural signage, or environmental graphics.
- Strong knowledge of materials such as acrylic, aluminium, ACP (Aluminium Composite Panel), stainless steel, and related fabrication techniques.
- Ability to accurately interpret architectural floor plans and elevations to develop practical signage solutions.
- Demonstrated experience producing fabrication-ready technical drawings.
- A portfolio showcasing completed signage projects along with technical drawings that highlight your expertise.

Preferred Qualifications and Additional Information

Experience working on multi-floor office buildings, corporate interiors, hospitality environments, or institutional wayfinding projects is highly preferred. This background will help in understanding the complexities and requirements of large-scale signage systems.
