We are seeking a Site Acquisition Officer to oversee the complete site acquisition process for telecom infrastructure projects. This role involves identifying suitable sites, negotiating with property owners, managing documentation, coordinating with legal and technical teams, and securing all necessary approvals to ensure timely site handovers. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in supporting the deployment of telecom infrastructure by managing relationships with landlords, government authorities, and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and assess potential sites for telecom infrastructure deployment through thorough site surveys and feasibility coordination with technical teams.
- Negotiate lease terms, rent, and commercial agreements with property owners and landlords to secure site locations.
- Manage the entire site acquisition and lease process, ensuring compliance with company policies and project timelines.
- Collaborate closely with Legal, Engineering, Project, and Commercial teams to finalize site agreements and documentation.
- Prepare, maintain, and organize all site acquisition records, agreements, and related documentation.
- Liaise with government departments and local authorities to obtain necessary No Objection Certificates (NOCs), permissions, and approvals.
- Address landlord concerns, objections, lease renewals, and other site-related issues promptly and effectively.
- Ensure timely handover of acquired sites to Engineering and Construction teams for project execution.
- Maintain accurate trackers for site acquisition progress and provide regular status reports to management.
- Adhere to regulatory requirements and company standards throughout the site acquisition lifecycle.
- Travel to project locations as required to facilitate site acquisition activities and stakeholder coordination.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Law, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 2 to 4 years of relevant experience in site acquisition, telecom, real estate, infrastructure, or related sectors.
- Proven negotiation skills and experience managing relationships with landlords and property owners.
- Solid understanding of property documentation, lease agreements, and site acquisition procedures.
- Experience working with government departments and local authorities to secure necessary approvals.
- Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, especially Excel, and experience in reporting.
- Ability to manage multiple site acquisitions simultaneously while meeting project deadlines.
- Willingness to travel frequently and work on-site as needed.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
Candidates with prior experience in Telecom Tower Companies (TowerCos), Mobile Network Operators (MNOs), Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) companies, or infrastructure development projects will be highly preferred. Experience with nationwide site acquisition exposure is an advantage.
The position offers a competitive monthly salary ranging from Rs 50,000 to Rs 70,000. The work location requires in-person presence to effectively manage site acquisition activities.
