Our customer-focused community is dedicated to creating innovative solutions that redefine the financial services landscape, leveraging artificial intelligence and data-driven best practices to support our growing business.
We are currently seeking an experienced Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to enhance the reliability of our highly distributed platform. This role requires a deep understanding of distributed systems combined with strong coding skills to define Service Level Objectives (SLOs), lead incident response efforts, and develop automation and self-healing mechanisms. The ideal candidate will balance immediate operational stability with strategic engineering to ensure our services scale effectively during rapid growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in on-call rotations and act as Incident Commander during major incidents by initiating war rooms, coordinating cross-functional teams, and providing clear status updates.
- Instrument code to expose high-cardinality metrics and distributed traces. Collaborate with product owners to define, measure, and maintain SLOs and Error Budgets.
- Write high-quality, production-ready code in Java, Go, or Python to build internal tools, automation platforms, and self-healing systems that reduce manual intervention.
- Partner with Product Engineering teams during the design phase to ensure new services incorporate reliability, scalability, and observability patterns such as circuit breakers, rate limiting, backpressure, and fallback strategies.
- Analyze system performance and traffic patterns to model future capacity needs. Conduct load testing and chaos engineering experiments to validate system resilience under failure conditions.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering or Backend Engineering with strong coding skills in Java, Go, Rust, or Python.
- Deep understanding of distributed systems architecture, microservices fundamentals, event-driven architectures, and scalable system design principles.
- Extensive experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or similar cloud providers like AWS or Azure. Proficient in running production workloads on Kubernetes (GKE/EKS) and troubleshooting cluster and infrastructure issues.
- Proven ability to design observability strategies using tools such as OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, New Relic, Datadog, or SigNoz to enhance system visibility.
- Familiarity with operating and tuning production data stores (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and streaming platforms (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ) in high-throughput environments.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- We foster a culture that puts people first, prioritizing the well-being of every team member. Our environment encourages open communication where all opinions are valued and respected. Above all, we are human.
- A strong focus on learning and development through knowledge sharing, training, and regular internal technical talks.
- Competitive compensation package including an attractive salary, pension scheme, health insurance, annual bonus, and other benefits.
