We are seeking a seasoned software engineering professional with extensive experience in leading and architecting complex backend systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in .NET technologies and cloud platforms, coupled with proven leadership skills to guide engineering teams and influence technical direction. This role demands a strategic thinker who can balance long-term architectural vision with the agility needed for fast-paced delivery, while maintaining high standards of quality and scalability.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the architecture and technical design of enterprise-grade systems, ensuring scalability, security, performance, reliability, and maintainability are prioritized. Take full ownership of these aspects throughout the software development lifecycle. Mentor and guide engineering teams by defining and upholding rigorous engineering standards and best practices. Drive the cloud infrastructure strategy, leveraging expertise in AWS and Azure to optimize deployment and operational efficiency. Engage in client-facing technical discussions, contributing to solution design and effectively communicating technical decisions. Champion disciplined development practices including continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD), thorough documentation, comprehensive code reviews, and robust testing. Advocate for and implement AI-assisted development techniques and other modern engineering practices to enhance productivity and innovation.
Required Qualifications
A minimum of 8 years of experience in software development, with at least 3 years in a Lead Engineer or Architect role. Demonstrated expertise in .NET and .NET Core frameworks, SQL databases, and backend architecture design. Proven track record in designing scalable distributed systems and APIs that meet high availability and performance requirements. Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure, along with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes. Experience working on SaaS, PaaS, FinTech, OTT, or other high-scale platforms is highly desirable. Strong engineering leadership skills, including technical decision-making and ownership beyond just code contributions. Familiarity with event-driven architecture, observability tools, and AI-driven development practices. Ability to make informed architecture decisions that align with both scalability and business objectives, balancing long-term vision with delivery speed. Excellent mentorship capabilities focused on fostering and maintaining high engineering standards. Confident communication skills to represent technical direction effectively both internally and externally.
