Software Development Engineer - Java + Distributed Systems

Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate high-scale distributed systems with a focus on reliability and performance.
- Provide architectural guidance across services and products, influencing impactful technical decisions.
- Establish and enforce best practices for coding, testing, observability, and CI/CD pipelines to ensure production-ready, high-quality services.
- Lead cross-team collaboration initiatives aimed at performance optimization, reliability improvements, and adoption of new technologies to accelerate feature delivery.

Required Qualifications
- Foundational understanding of AI/ML technologies, including experience with agentic AI systems and orchestration workflows, and leveraging AI-driven solutions to optimize outcomes.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional experience coding in Java within highly distributed, enterprise-scale environments.
- Working knowledge of cloud infrastructure services such as AWS or Azure.
- Strong expertise in distributed systems and microservices architecture.
- Proficient in SQL constructs and data modeling.
- Experience with identity governance, administration, and access management.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using AI coding assistants, automated code review tools, or large language model (LLM)-assisted development workflows to enhance software architecture and speed delivery cycles.
- Hands-on experience with data tiers involving Postgres, Redis, Terraform, Ansible, graph databases like Neo4j or AWS Neptune, and developing GraphQL APIs.
- Familiarity with identity and access management systems such as Okta, SAML, OAuth, test automation, Python programming, and designing fault-tolerant distributed systems for networking or cloud security products.
