Software Development Engineer

WriftAI is developing the foundational infrastructure that simplifies deploying and scaling AI in production environments. Our platform enables teams to accelerate the delivery of AI-powered products by eliminating the operational challenges associated with running models at scale. Through intuitive APIs and SDKs, we manage model deployment, scaling, and performance optimization behind the scenes, making production-grade AI accessible to engineering teams of all sizes. We are seeking recent graduates in Computer Science or Engineering who are passionate about starting their careers as Software Engineers and contributing to the future of AI.

Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop backend services and APIs that form the core of the WriftAI platform.
- Build and enhance systems that integrate with AI model inference, configuration, and lifecycle management.
- Implement features to improve system reliability, performance, and developer usability.
- Work directly with AI-powered functionalities, experimenting with model behavior, performance, and developer interfaces.
- Collaborate closely with Platform Engineers, Product teams, and other engineers to deliver scalable and robust features.
- Participate in system design and architectural discussions to shape platform evolution.
- Debug and resolve production issues across distributed services.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code to ensure long-term platform stability.

Required Qualifications
- Recent graduate (within the last 24 months) or soon-to-be graduate with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related disciplines.
- Proficiency in at least one backend programming language such as Go, Python, Java, or similar.
- Experience deploying machine learning models in cloud environments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a creative approach to technical challenges.
- Solid understanding of Computer Science fundamentals including object-oriented design, algorithms, data structures, and complexity analysis.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Hands-on experience with AI-powered systems, including integrating model inference, experimenting with prompts or configurations, or building AI-driven features.
- Familiarity with cloud-based architectures and distributed systems.
- Experience working on high-throughput systems, data pipelines, or AI-centric products.
- Knowledge of observability tools and production debugging workflows.
