Key Responsibilities
- Lead software engineering efforts as a hands-on technical leader, acting as the primary design authority and architect.
- Ensure alignment of technical solutions with Aqovia’s and clients’ broader initiatives.
- Advise clients on solution options, balancing off-the-shelf and custom components.
- Contribute actively to Aqovia’s Research & Development programs.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies for adoption.
- Communicate complex technical concepts clearly and simply.
- Facilitate agile ceremonies including planning, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups.
- Advocate agile principles and guide both development teams and client stakeholders.
- Support client Product Owners in managing product roadmaps and backlogs.
- Manage engineering team appraisals and support issue resolution, including escalations.
- Produce and share team reports, approve timesheets, and provide line management for technical squads.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience leading cross-functional software engineering teams.
- Strong background working in professional, agile software development environments.
- Relevant degree or equivalent higher professional qualification.
- Demonstrated ability to manage stakeholders throughout the development lifecycle.
- Experience driving architectural adoption and integration of new off-the-shelf systems.
- Strong Agile coaching skills with experience facilitating Scrum ceremonies.
- Proficient in C#, .NET platform, and Azure cloud services.
- Enthusiastic about microservices architecture and DevOps culture.
- In-depth expertise in at least one of the following areas:
- Full-stack web development using modern JavaScript frameworks to build progressive web applications.
- Event-driven applications in .NET or NodeJS utilizing message buses such as RabbitMQ or Azure Service Bus.
- Designing secure, high-performance, HATEOAS-compliant RESTful APIs.
- Understanding of CRM, ERP, and Content Management systems.
- Excellent professional communication skills in English, both written and verbal.

Our technology stack is continuously evolving and currently includes JavaScript (ES6+ or TypeScript), Babel, Rollup, Web Components (lit-html, lit-element), Redux or Apollo (GraphQL), Azure Functions, .NET Core, Azure cloud, and Kubernetes. Candidates may occasionally work with legacy technologies such as Polymer 1.x, AngularJS 1.x, ASP.NET MVC, and WebForms.
