Software Engineer – Android (Onsite, Karachi, PKR Salary)

We are seeking a skilled Android Developer with 2 to 4 years of professional experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong Kotlin fundamentals and hands-on expertise with Jetpack Compose. You will play a key role in developing native Android applications, ensuring seamless integration of APIs, and delivering high-quality mobile experiences that align with product and UX requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop native Android applications using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose, transforming product and UI/UX designs into responsive and user-friendly mobile experiences.
- Integrate REST APIs, authentication mechanisms, analytics tools, notifications, and third-party SDKs to enhance app functionality.
- Implement media playback and streaming features, leveraging technologies such as ExoPlayer or Media3 where applicable.
- Optimize application performance by managing memory usage, battery consumption, and reducing startup time to ensure smooth user experiences.
- Write comprehensive unit and UI tests to maintain code quality and actively participate in code reviews.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including backend developers, product managers, designers, QA, and DevOps to deliver robust solutions.
- Support the preparation and deployment of applications on the Google Play Store, monitor app performance post-release, and resolve production issues promptly.

Required Qualifications:
- 2 to 4 years of professional experience in Android development with a strong foundation in Kotlin and practical experience using Jetpack Compose.
- Solid understanding of the Android SDK, lifecycle management, and mobile application architecture principles.
- Proven experience integrating RESTful APIs, managing asynchronous operations, and implementing authentication workflows.
- Proficiency with version control systems, particularly Git, along with debugging, testing, and deploying applications to the Play Store.
- Familiarity with mobile security best practices and secure data storage techniques.
- Experience working with OTT platforms, media players such as ExoPlayer or Media3, DRM technologies, deep linking, and subscription-based flows.
- Knowledge of architectural patterns like MVVM and Clean Architecture, including dependency injection frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for Android applications.
- Exposure to performance monitoring tools and crash analytics to ensure app reliability and user satisfaction.
- Strong focus on mobile user experience and performance, taking ownership of features from development through release.
- Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across mobile and platform teams.
