Global Rescue, a leading global membership organization specializing in integrated medical, security, intelligence, and crisis response services, is seeking a motivated mid-level Software Engineer – Java Full Stack Developer. In this role, you will develop and scale enterprise applications using technologies such as Java, Spring Boot, Angular, Microservices, JPA, and Hibernate, contributing directly to the support of members in crisis situations around the globe.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade applications using Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, JPA, Hibernate, MySQL, and Angular, following coding standards and industry best practices. Collaborate closely with architects, product managers, and business analysts to deliver scalable, high-performance, and maintainable software solutions. Participate actively in architecture and design reviews, as well as technical discussions, to enhance system quality and performance.
Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including sequence diagrams, class diagrams, state transition diagrams, flowcharts, ERDs, and design specifications. Develop thorough unit and integration tests to ensure the reliability and maintainability of applications. Provide Level III production support by troubleshooting complex issues, identifying root causes, and implementing effective solutions using application monitoring and observability tools such as logs, metrics, and traces.
Conduct data analysis to identify inconsistencies and implement solutions that maintain data integrity. Utilize modern software engineering tools and practices, including Git/GitLab, Maven, CI/CD pipelines, code reviews, and automated testing. Leverage AI-assisted development tools to enhance coding efficiency, testing, documentation, and overall engineering productivity. Manage multiple assignments effectively, ensuring high-quality deliverables within established timelines.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field from a reputable university or institution. A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Microservices, JPA, Hibernate, SQL, and Angular. Proficiency with relational databases such as MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL, or MS SQL Server, including expertise in SQL query optimization.
Experience designing and integrating RESTful APIs, API Gateway, Web Sockets, and Message Queues (SQS, RabbitMQ, Kafka). Familiarity with caching technologies like Redis, IoT protocols such as MQTT, Identity Providers (Keycloak), and authentication protocols including OIDC and SAML. Practical knowledge of JUnit, Git/GitLab, Maven, Test-Driven Development (TDD), and CI/CD pipelines.
Working experience with containerization and cloud deployment technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes, along with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP). Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to write clean, efficient, and maintainable code. Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), design patterns, and Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) principles.
Proficiency in utilizing AI-powered tools to improve coding, testing, documentation, and productivity. Excellent communication, collaboration, and time management skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced Agile development environment.
Location and Compensation
