Global Rescue, a world leader in integrated medical, security, intelligence, and crisis response services, is seeking a motivated mid-level Software Engineer – Java Full Stack Developer to join their team. This role offers the opportunity to develop and scale enterprise applications that support members in critical situations globally.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, JPA, Hibernate, MySQL, and Angular while adhering to coding standards and best practices. Collaborate closely with architects, product managers, and business analysts to deliver scalable, high-performance, and maintainable solutions. Participate in architecture and design reviews, contributing to technical discussions aimed at improving system quality and performance.
Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including sequence diagrams, class diagrams, state transition diagrams, flowcharts, ERDs, and design specifications. Develop thorough unit and integration tests to ensure application reliability and maintainability. Provide Level III production support by troubleshooting complex issues, identifying root causes, and implementing effective solutions using application monitoring and observability tools such as logs, metrics, and traces.
Perform data analysis to identify inconsistencies and implement solutions to maintain data integrity. Utilize modern software engineering tools and practices, including Git/GitLab, Maven, CI/CD pipelines, code reviews, and automated testing. Leverage AI-assisted development tools to enhance coding efficiency, testing, documentation, and overall engineering productivity. Manage multiple assignments effectively while delivering high-quality work within established timelines.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field from a reputable institution. A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Microservices, JPA, Hibernate, SQL, and Angular. Proficiency with relational databases such as MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL, or MS SQL Server, including SQL query optimization.
Experience designing and integrating RESTful APIs, API Gateway, Web Sockets, and Message Queues (SQS, RabbitMQ, Kafka). Familiarity with caching technologies like Redis, IoT protocols such as MQTT, Identity Providers (Keycloak), and authentication protocols including OIDC and SAML. Hands-on experience with JUnit, Git/GitLab, Maven, Test-Driven Development (TDD), and CI/CD pipelines.
Working knowledge of containerization and cloud deployment technologies, including Docker, Kubernetes, and at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP). Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills with the ability to write clean, efficient, and maintainable code. Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), design patterns, and Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) principles.
Proficiency in leveraging AI-powered tools to improve coding, testing, documentation, and overall productivity. Excellent communication, collaboration, and time management skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced Agile environment.
