As a Software Engineer specializing in AI, you will collaborate closely with platform engineers, product managers, and infrastructure teams to design and implement intelligent solutions that automate workflows and improve managed hosting services. Reporting to the AI Engineering Manager, you will take ownership of end-to-end AI projects, leveraging your expertise to drive meaningful impact for millions of developers worldwide.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop agentic AI solutions that automate complex workflows and cloud operations.
- Integrate AI agents with existing Cloudways managed hosting services.
- Enhance current AI-driven automation features, including anomaly detection and system improvements.
- Write production-level code primarily in Python and PHP.
- Collaborate with backend systems, databases, and APIs to ensure seamless service integration.
- Apply foundational AI concepts such as prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and function calling.
- Work cross-functionally with product, infrastructure, and development teams to deliver high-quality AI features.

Required Qualifications:
- 3 to 5 years of professional experience as a software engineer, with a focus on AI or related fields.
- Strong programming skills in Python and PHP.
- Proven ability to design, develop, and deploy AI-powered solutions independently.
- Experience working with databases, APIs, and backend services.
- Familiarity with basic AI techniques including prompt engineering and function calling.
- Self-motivated with excellent problem-solving skills and a growth mindset.
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
