Software Engineer

This full-time, on-site Software Engineer position is based in Faisalabad and focuses on developing software solutions for the public sector and education domains. The role involves designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software systems and back-end web services. The engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver clean, efficient, and secure code while ensuring alignment with client requirements and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain back-end software systems and web services supporting public-sector and education-focused applications.
- Implement clean, efficient, and secure code following best practices and object-oriented programming principles.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Participate actively in code reviews to maintain code quality and share knowledge.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues promptly to minimize downtime.
- Contribute to system architecture discussions and maintain up-to-date technical documentation.
- Support integration efforts with existing systems and third-party services.
- Engage in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives to ensure continuous delivery and improvement.
- Continuously improve software performance, reliability, and maintainability.

Required Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Computer Science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
- Proven experience in software development and programming, with a track record of building and maintaining production-grade applications.
- Hands-on expertise in back-end web development, including designing and consuming APIs, working with databases, and using server-side frameworks.
- Solid understanding and practical application of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts in modern programming languages.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience with version control systems such as Git and familiarity with collaborative development workflows.
- Ability to work on-site in Faisalabad and collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams.
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
