We are seeking a highly skilled software engineer with strong expertise in C#, .NET Core, Web APIs, SQL, and enterprise application development. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of the Supply Chain or Catalog Management (Catman) domain and be comfortable working hands-on across various areas including development, troubleshooting, defect resolution, performance optimization, security, and production support. This role involves close collaboration with global engineering, automation, product, and customer-facing teams. You will contribute to building and maintaining a scalable, resilient, event-driven, secure, multi-tenant microservices platform hosted on Microsoft Azure.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement new product features and enhancements using C# and .NET Core.
- Develop and maintain RESTful Web APIs and microservices.
- Analyze and resolve application defects reported internally or by customers.
- Create new stored procedures and optimize existing ones based on business needs.
- Troubleshoot and resolve application performance, security, and production issues.
- Analyze application logs, network traces, and performance metrics to diagnose complex technical problems.
- Participate actively in code reviews to ensure coding standards and best practices are followed.
- Collaborate closely with automation, product, platform, QA, DevOps, and customer-facing teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior and mid-level engineers.
- Independently analyze complex problems and drive issues through to resolution.
- Contribute to improving application reliability, scalability, performance, and maintainability.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (BE/B.Tech, ME/M.Tech) or MCA from a recognized institution.
- Proven experience working on large and complex enterprise applications.
- Strong hands-on experience with C# and .NET Core Web API development.
- Good working knowledge of REST APIs and microservices architecture.
- Familiarity with React.js.
- Strong understanding of SQL/MSSQL and stored procedures.
- Good grasp of networking concepts and troubleshooting techniques.
- Solid understanding of Operating System concepts, preferably Windows.
- Basic knowledge of Kubernetes fundamentals.
- Experience with at least one scripting language such as Shell, Python, or PowerShell.
- Familiarity with troubleshooting tools like Wireshark, PerfMon, or equivalent open-source tools.
- Experience with application monitoring tools such as Telegraf, InfluxDB, and Grafana.
- Exposure to at least one cloud platform such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or GCP.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of technical challenges.
- Demonstrated capability to mentor and support junior and mid-level engineers.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Experience in Supply Chain, Catalog Management (Catman), Procurement, or related enterprise domains.
- Hands-on experience with event-driven systems and distributed microservices.
- Familiarity with Kafka, Azure Event Hub, Elasticsearch, or Kubernetes.
- Experience troubleshooting production issues in cloud-based applications.
- Knowledge of application security, authentication, and authorization concepts such as OAuth.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
