Software Engineer - I- AI/ML

Devsinc is seeking a motivated and skilled Software Engineer I – AI/ML with at least 1.5 years of professional experience in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Python development, preferably after completing graduation. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Python programming, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines, and Agentic AI. This role requires excellent problem-solving skills, technical proficiency, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, client-focused environment. Strong English communication skills and hands-on experience in developing AI-powered applications are essential for success in this position.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, test, and maintain AI/ML applications and intelligent solutions using Python.
- Develop and integrate Generative AI applications leveraging Large Language Models (LLMs), prompt engineering, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) techniques.
- Build and implement Agentic AI workflows utilizing frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, or similar tools.
- Create scalable Python backend services and RESTful APIs using FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
- Implement Machine Learning and Deep Learning models with libraries like Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
- Integrate LLM APIs including OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, and open-source models into practical applications.
- Work with vector databases such as Pinecone, FAISS, ChromaDB, or Weaviate to support semantic search and retrieval functionalities.
- Perform data preprocessing, feature engineering, model evaluation, optimization, and fine-tuning to enhance model performance.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to embed AI/ML models into scalable applications and existing systems.
- Support deployment, monitoring, debugging, and performance optimization of AI/ML models.
- Participate in technical discussions, conduct code reviews, and engage in problem-solving activities while adhering to software development best practices.
- Write clean, efficient, reusable, and well-documented code.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 1.5 years of professional experience in AI/ML development, preferably post-graduation.
- Strong proficiency in Python programming, Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), Data Structures, Algorithms (DSA), and logical problem-solving.
- Hands-on experience with Machine Learning and Deep Learning frameworks such as Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
- Practical experience in developing Generative AI applications, integrating LLMs, building RAG pipelines, and applying prompt engineering techniques.
- Working knowledge of Agentic AI frameworks including LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, or similar.
- Experience in developing RESTful APIs and backend services using FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
- Understanding of Natural Language Processing (NLP), transformers, embeddings, and vector databases.
- Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB.
- Proficiency with Git, Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and adherence to software engineering best practices.
- Exposure to cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Strong analytical thinking, debugging skills, and real-world problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent English communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly and collaborate effectively.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, services-oriented environment, working with international teams and adapting to evolving project requirements.
