Software Engineer Intern

The Software Engineer Intern position at DevSectors is a full-time role available on-site or remotely, based in Bahawalpur/Punjab or anywhere in Pakistan. The intern will work closely with senior engineers to design, develop, and test software components. Daily responsibilities include writing and reviewing code, contributing to back-end web services, and supporting API and database integration. The intern will also participate in team meetings, assist with troubleshooting and debugging, and help maintain project documentation. This role provides hands-on experience with modern development practices, collaboration within multidisciplinary teams, and exposure to agile delivery and code quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist in designing, developing, and testing software components under senior engineer supervision.
- Write, review, and maintain clean and efficient code for back-end web services.
- Support integration of APIs and databases to ensure seamless functionality.
- Participate actively in team meetings and contribute to project discussions.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software issues as they arise.
- Help maintain and update documentation related to ongoing projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of software solutions.

Required Qualifications
- Foundational knowledge of Computer Science concepts, including data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles.
- Proficiency in programming and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) for software application development and maintenance.
- Experience or understanding of software development and back-end web development, including server-side logic, APIs, and database interactions.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to quickly learn new tools and frameworks.
- Familiarity with at least one modern programming language such as Python, Java, or JavaScript.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a degree program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
