Key Responsibilities
- Own the technical architecture and solution design for your product area, making key design decisions for new and existing applications while proactively addressing challenges.
- Define and document target-state architecture, system designs, and architecture decision records (ADRs), conducting design reviews to ensure implementation alignment.
- Design for non-functional requirements including scalability, availability, performance, security, and compliance (e.g., PCI DSS), clearly communicating trade-offs.
- Establish service boundaries, API contracts, integration patterns (REST, messaging, event-driven), and data models across services and third-party systems.
- Lead medium to large projects end-to-end, from architecture and design through production deployment.
- Set technical direction, coding standards, and engineering best practices; mentor and guide engineers at all levels through code and design reviews.
- Actively develop and maintain critical services and enterprise applications using .NET Framework, .NET Core, and React, creating reference implementations and proofs of concept.
- Collaborate with Product Management on solution feasibility, effort estimation, and technical roadmap planning.
- Provide project status updates and risk assessments, including technical and architectural risks, to management to ensure program timelines are met.
- Partner with Software Architects and DevOps to evaluate tools, processes, technologies, and cloud infrastructure, including build-versus-buy decisions.
- Recommend technology adoption and framework improvements by analyzing industry trends and best practices, including AI-assisted development (AIDLC).
- Serve as a technology, architecture, and product evangelist and custodian.
- Identify systemic performance, reliability, and scalability risks; lead root-cause analysis and implement architectural fixes following production incidents.
- Apply disciplined Agile practices to analyze and resolve technical challenges.
- Troubleshoot, test, and validate software issues promptly, maintaining thorough documentation.
- Work closely with Product Owners and QA Engineers to clarify feature requirements, estimate work, and develop test plans.
- Own the technical debt roadmap by identifying, prioritizing, and driving modernization efforts across teams.

- Extensive experience with SQL Server and NoSQL databases (e.g., Cosmos DB), including data modeling, stored procedures, and query optimization.
- Deep understanding of C# development concepts including multi-threading, memory management, asynchronous programming, microservices, and dependency injection.
- At least 3 years designing and operating cloud-native applications on Azure (or AWS/GCP), with familiarity in Infrastructure as a Service, Docker/containers, CI/CD pipelines, and observability.
- Knowledge of application security and compliance standards (OWASP, PCI DSS), preferably with experience in payments or regulated industries.
- Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools and driving their adoption.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Visual Studio IDE and Azure DevOps or Jira.
- Minimum 2 years of practical Agile development experience.
