Software Engineer

Worldmind, the intelligence platform powering Invenio Protocols, is seeking a skilled Software Engineer specializing in AI systems and full-stack development. This remote, full-time position based in Pakistan offers a starting salary of PKR 150,000 per month. The role involves working on cutting-edge AI agents, research pipelines, evidence retrieval, workflow automation, and the user interface that integrates these components. You will collaborate directly with the founder and take significant ownership of the product’s development and performance.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance Worldmind’s frontend, backend, and infrastructure components.
- Integrate AI models, APIs, research tools, and external data sources to create seamless workflows.
- Design and implement agent workflows capable of task execution, failure recovery, and producing traceable outcomes.
- Improve systems related to information retrieval, source attribution, persistent memory, and overall research quality.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues spanning the interface, database, and deployment environments.
- Assess and incorporate open-source tools that add value to the platform.
- Deliver reliable updates, verify their effectiveness in the live product, and maintain accountability for results.

Required Qualifications
- Strong programming fundamentals with excellent debugging capabilities.
- Proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript and Python.
- Experience working with React/Next.js, APIs, PostgreSQL, and authentication mechanisms.
- Practical knowledge of deploying and maintaining production applications.
- Understanding of security best practices including permissions, credential protection, logging, and reliable background job management.
- Ability to work independently, communicate clearly, and exercise sound technical judgment.

Our current technology stack includes Next.js, Supabase, Vercel, Railway, and AI model APIs. Experience with agent orchestration, search systems, document processing, queues, or research platforms will be considered an advantage.

Preferred Qualifications and Work Ethic
When issues arise, you will be expected to investigate, resolve, and validate fixes promptly. Clear communication about limitations and proposing practical solutions is essential. We value critical thinking and the ability to progress work autonomously without constant supervision. While AI coding tools are encouraged, you must thoroughly understand, review, and take responsibility for all code you deliver. Formal education credentials are not a requirement; your work quality and problem-solving skills will be the primary basis for evaluation.
