Software Engineer - NodeJS

We are seeking a skilled software architect and developer to join our dynamic team working on a cloud-enabled SaaS product focused on Merchandise Management within the retail sector. This role involves collaborating closely with distinguished consultants and architects to design, build, and support a scalable, three-tier web application. The team consists of over 45 global professionals based in India, the US, and Mexico, with plans for rapid expansion. Strong communication and leadership skills are essential, as you will also mentor junior and mid-level team members.

Key Responsibilities

- Architect, design, and support a cloud-based SaaS product in the retail merchandise management space.
- Collaborate within an agile team to develop maintainable software components that maximize customer value.
- Engage in design discussions, implementation, testing, and code reviews for user stories and bug fixes.
- Analyze software issues and propose effective solutions.
- Participate actively in agile ceremonies such as backlog grooming, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends.
- Develop customer-specific interfaces and enhancements.
- Investigate and resolve customer-reported defects.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (B.E/B.Tech/M.Tech/MCA).
- 4 to 6 years of professional experience in Node.js development.
- Proficiency with Scrum, Agile methodologies, DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, GitHub, and Jenkins.
- Strong programming skills, particularly in React.js and Node.js.
- Excellent communication abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with Kafka and Snowflake is advantageous.
- Knowledge of PL/SQL and Oracle database management.
- Familiarity with Unix batch scripting.

Technical Environment

The technology stack includes React.js, Node.js, Oracle PL/SQL, REST APIs, JavaScript, Unix, and Cognos. The application architecture is a scalable three-tier web model deployed on private cloud infrastructure and Microsoft Azure services such as ARM templates, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Application Gateway, Virtual Networks, Event Hub, and Azure Active Directory. Development and deployment tools include GitHub, Jenkins, CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, JIRA, ServiceNow, ORM frameworks, and Express.js.
