We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer specializing in Cloud and Platform to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, automating, and maintaining robust cloud infrastructure, deployment pipelines, and production environments. This full-time role is based onsite in Islamabad (I-10/3) with working hours from 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Sunday through Thursday. Candidates with a minimum of three years of relevant professional experience in DevOps, Cloud, Platform, Infrastructure, or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain cloud infrastructure across Azure, GCP, AWS, and DigitalOcean platforms.
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate build, testing, and deployment processes.
- Administer Linux and Windows servers along with Docker-based container environments.
- Deploy and support Development, Staging, UAT, and Production environments ensuring stability and reliability.
- Oversee DNS, firewalls, load balancers, SSL/TLS certificates, IP management, networking, and access controls.
- Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, alerting, backup, and disaster recovery solutions.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure, deployment, networking, and production-related issues promptly.
- Conduct incident investigations and perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to prevent recurrence.
- Collaborate closely with development teams to enhance deployment processes, security, performance, and reliability.
- Automate repetitive infrastructure and operational tasks to improve efficiency.
- Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, deployment procedures, and operational standards.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in DevOps, Cloud, Platform, Infrastructure, or SRE roles (internships, training programs, academic or personal projects, and certifications do not count toward this requirement).
- Strong hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform, preferably Azure and GCP.
- Proficiency with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or Azure DevOps.
- Solid experience working with Docker containers.
- Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience managing cloud infrastructure and networking components.
- In-depth knowledge of DNS, TCP/IP, firewalls, SSL/TLS, load balancing, and access management.
- Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools and practices.
- Experience with production troubleshooting, backups, disaster recovery, and ensuring high availability.
- Hands-on experience with infrastructure automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) methodologies.
Preferred Skills and Additional Expertise
- Kubernetes orchestration and management.
- Infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
- ARM/Bicep templates for Azure resource management.
- Experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, and Jenkins pipelines.
- Knowledge of cloud security best practices and hardening techniques.
- Cloud cost optimization strategies.
- Experience supporting enterprise or financial application infrastructure.
This position requires candidates to work 100% onsite at the Islamabad office located in I-10/3. Preference will be given to candidates residing in Islamabad or Rawalpindi.
