Software Engineering Lead (Product)

We are looking for a seasoned Engineering Manager to lead and oversee engineering efforts on AI-driven and product-centric projects. This role demands a combination of strong technical leadership, product insight, and effective stakeholder engagement. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with clients, product teams, and engineers to ensure timely delivery, promote engineering excellence, and align technical strategies with overall business goals.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide technical leadership and strategic guidance across AI, software development, and product initiatives.
- Work directly with clients to gather business requirements, develop technical roadmaps, and translate objectives into clear engineering plans.
- Lead engineering teams through architecture reviews and technical decision-making, while fostering a culture of high-quality code, automation, and efficient delivery.
- Collaborate with Product Managers and stakeholders to prioritize features, manage trade-offs, and ensure alignment between business objectives and technical execution.
- Oversee the design and implementation of AI-powered solutions, automation workflows, and scalable software systems.
- Establish and continuously improve engineering processes, development standards, and performance metrics.
- Mentor engineers and technical leads, encouraging accountability, innovation, and ongoing professional growth.
- Identify technical risks, dependencies, and resource needs, proactively driving mitigation strategies.
- Support client communications, including technical presentations, solution discussions, and project governance activities.
- Ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within scope, and meet quality standards.

Required Qualifications

- Over 10 years of experience in software engineering, engineering management, or technical leadership roles.
- Proven track record of leading product-focused engineering teams and delivering customer-centric solutions.
- Strong understanding of AI/ML technologies, large language models (LLMs), automation platforms, and modern software architectures.
- Experience working directly with clients in consulting, agency, SaaS, or technology services environments.
- Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional teams and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Deep knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies, along with engineering best practices.
- Excellent skills in stakeholder management, communication, and technical presentations.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on technical leadership.

The position is based in DHA Phase 8 Broadway, Lahore, with working hours from 5 PM to 2 AM PKT. Fridays are designated as remote workdays.
