The Software Project Manager will be based full-time on-site in Karachi and will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and successful delivery of software projects. This role requires close coordination with cross-functional teams, including developers, QA engineers, and business stakeholders. Key duties involve defining project scope and objectives, managing timelines and budgets, tracking progress, and proactively addressing risks to ensure project goals are met. The manager will also facilitate requirements gathering, maintain comprehensive project documentation, and provide clear communication of status updates and challenges to leadership and key stakeholders. Additionally, the role focuses on process optimization, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring software solutions align with the operational needs of the shipping and logistics industry.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead end-to-end software project management activities, including planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery.
- Define project scope, objectives, timelines, and budgets in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Coordinate and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams such as developers, QA engineers, and business units.
- Facilitate requirements gathering and translate business needs into clear, actionable project specifications.
- Maintain detailed project documentation and provide regular status updates to leadership and stakeholders.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks to ensure timely and successful delivery.
- Optimize project management processes and support continuous improvement efforts.
- Ensure software solutions meet business and operational requirements within the shipping and logistics context.
- Work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, maintaining on-site presence in Karachi.

Required Qualifications

- Proven experience in Software Project Management with a track record of leading end-to-end software initiatives.
- Solid understanding of software development processes to enable effective collaboration with technical teams.
- Strong analytical skills and expertise in requirements analysis to accurately translate business needs.
- Relevant academic background such as a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and team coordination abilities.
- Proficiency in project management tools such as JIRA, Trello, or MS Project.
- Familiarity with Agile or hybrid project management methodologies.
- Willingness and ability to work on-site in Karachi.
