Software Quality Assurance Engineer

Paklogics is seeking an experienced Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Engineer to join our team and take ownership of quality assurance across large-scale mobile applications, web portals, backend APIs, integrations, regression cycles, and production releases. This full-time role is based primarily in Faisalabad with opportunities for suitable candidates in Lahore. The working hours are from 5 PM to 2 AM. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manual and automated testing, with hands-on experience in mobile and web environments, and a passion for ensuring high-quality software delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop comprehensive test plans, scenarios, test cases, and acceptance criteria to ensure thorough coverage.
- Perform various types of testing including functional, regression, integration, exploratory, usability, and end-to-end testing.
- Conduct extensive testing of iOS and Android mobile applications to validate performance and functionality.
- Test web applications, administrative portals, REST APIs, and backend services to ensure seamless operation.
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites, focusing on critical regression and end-to-end workflows.
- Execute cross-device and cross-platform testing to guarantee consistent user experience.
- Validate third-party integrations and complex application workflows for accuracy and reliability.
- Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects through to resolution in collaboration with development teams.
- Conduct release validation and production smoke testing to ensure readiness for deployment.
- Collaborate closely with developers to reproduce issues and facilitate timely resolution.
- Participate actively in sprint planning, requirement reviews, release planning, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes and standards to enhance overall quality.

Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in Software Quality Assurance or Software Testing.
- Proven expertise in testing large-scale mobile applications with strong manual testing skills.
- Hands-on experience with automation frameworks such as Appium, Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar tools.
- Proficiency in API testing using tools like Postman or equivalent.
- Solid understanding of REST APIs, JSON, HTTP protocols, databases, and client-server architecture.
- Experience in regression, integration, end-to-end, and cross-platform testing methodologies.
- Familiarity with integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines is preferred.
- Strong defect analysis, troubleshooting abilities, and excellent attention to detail.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills to clearly document and discuss issues.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
- Experience working with FinTech applications, insurance or healthcare platforms, payment systems, or other regulated industries.
- Background in testing large-scale mobile and web platforms with complex third-party integrations.
