Software Quality Assurance Engineer

The Software Quality Assurance Engineer role is a full-time, on-site position based in Karāchi. This position focuses on ensuring the quality and reliability of software products through meticulous manual testing. The engineer will be responsible for designing and executing test cases, performing regression and functional testing, documenting defects, and working closely with developers to address issues. This role plays a critical part in maintaining high standards of software quality, safety, and performance.

Key Responsibilities
- Plan, design, and execute manual test cases to validate software functionality and performance against specifications.
- Conduct regression and functional testing to identify defects and ensure software stability.
- Document and track defects clearly and collaborate with development teams to facilitate timely resolution.
- Participate in requirement and technical specification reviews to provide input on testability and quality considerations.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes, tools, and quality standards.
- Prepare comprehensive test reports and maintain detailed test documentation.
- Support release readiness activities to ensure software meets quality and safety requirements before deployment.

Required Qualifications
- Strong understanding of Software Quality Assurance principles, including testing methodologies and defect lifecycle management.
- Proven hands-on experience in manual testing, with the ability to design, execute, and document test cases and plans effectively.
- Familiarity with software development processes and lifecycle models, enabling effective collaboration with engineering teams.
- Proficiency in using test management tools, issue tracking systems, and documentation platforms.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Ability to work full-time on-site in Karāchi, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to changing project requirements and deadlines.
