Software Quality Assurance Engineer(SQAE)

Folium AI is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Software Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team in Wapda Town, Lahore. This role requires a professional with 1.5 to 3 years of experience in software QA who is skilled in both manual and automated testing. The ideal candidate will ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of our software products by identifying potential issues beyond standard use cases. The position operates from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM and demands strong collaboration with developers and project managers to continuously improve product quality.

Key Responsibilities
- Analyze requirements, user stories, and design documents to identify gaps and potential risks.
- Design comprehensive test cases that cover positive, negative, boundary, and edge-case scenarios.
- Execute various types of testing including functional, regression, smoke, sanity, integration, exploratory, and cross-browser testing.
- Develop and maintain automated UI and API test suites.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous delivery.
- Report, track, and follow up on bugs until they are resolved.
- Prepare detailed test plans, test reports, and QA documentation.
- Collaborate closely with developers and project managers to enhance product quality.
- Conduct root-cause analysis of defects and contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 1.5 to 3 years of professional experience in software quality assurance.
- Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), Agile/Scrum methodologies, and various software testing techniques.
- Hands-on experience with manual testing and designing effective test cases.
- Proficiency with at least one automation framework such as Playwright, Selenium, or Cypress.
- Scripting skills in JavaScript, TypeScript, or Python.
- Experience using API testing tools like Postman or similar platforms.
- Familiarity with issue tracking tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps and basic SQL query knowledge.
- Understanding of REST APIs, HTTP status codes, browser developer tools, and debugging techniques.
- Strong analytical, documentation, communication, and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Qualifications and Additional Skills
- ISTQB certification is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of performance testing tools such as JMeter or k6.
- Awareness of security testing principles and OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities.
- Experience with cloud-based testing platforms like BrowserStack or Sauce Labs.
