Software Quality Assurance

EvolveDash, a B2B software services and consultancy company serving mid-market clients across the US and Canada, is seeking a Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Engineer to join their team in Lahore, DHA Phase 6. This full-time, on-site position is ideal for fresh graduates or candidates with up to one year of experience who are eager to start their career in quality assurance. The role involves testing web, mobile, and AI products to ensure every release meets quality standards before reaching clients. Key Responsibilities
- Analyze requirements, user stories, and designs to develop comprehensive test scenarios and test cases.
- Perform manual testing on web and mobile applications, including functional, regression, smoke, UI, and cross-browser/device testing.
- Identify, document, and report bugs clearly using tools like Jira, including steps to reproduce, screenshots, and severity levels.
- Collaborate with developers to ensure timely bug resolution and retest fixes.
- Conduct regression testing before every release to maintain product stability.
- Test APIs using Postman to verify backend functionality.
- Maintain and update test cases, checklists, and test reports regularly.
- Participate actively in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and release review meetings with the development team.
- Gradually learn and contribute to test automation efforts using tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Up to one year of experience in software testing or quality assurance, including internships and final-year projects.
- Solid understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), and the bug life cycle.
- Familiarity with various testing types and techniques such as functional, regression, smoke, sanity, black box, and boundary value testing.
- Ability to write clear and concise test cases and bug reports.
- Basic knowledge of SQL and an understanding of how web applications and APIs function.
- Proficient in written and spoken English.
- Strong attention to detail with a curious and analytical mindset.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- ISTQB Foundation certification or completion of a QA-related course.
- Experience with test management and bug tracking tools like Jira or TestRail.
- Basic programming skills in JavaScript, Python, or Java, and some exposure to automation testing.
- Experience testing Android or iOS mobile applications.
