Software Quality Assurance

EvolveDash, a B2B software services and consultancy firm catering to mid-market clients in the US and Canada, is seeking a Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Engineer to join their team in Lahore, DHA Phase 6. This full-time, on-site role offers a market-competitive salary and is ideal for fresh graduates or candidates with up to one year of experience who are eager to start their career in software quality assurance. Key Responsibilities
- Analyze requirements, user stories, and design documents to develop comprehensive test scenarios and test cases.
- Perform manual testing on web and mobile applications, including functional, regression, smoke, UI, and cross-browser/device testing.
- Identify, document, and track bugs using tools like Jira, providing clear reproduction steps, screenshots, and severity levels.
- Retest resolved issues and conduct regression testing before each product release.
- Test APIs using Postman to verify functionality and performance.
- Maintain and update test cases, checklists, and test reports regularly.
- Participate actively in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and release review meetings alongside the development team.
- Gradually learn and contribute to test automation efforts using tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Up to one year of experience in software testing or quality assurance, including internships and final-year academic projects.
- Solid understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), and the bug life cycle.
- Familiarity with various testing methodologies such as functional, regression, smoke, sanity, black box, and boundary value testing.
- Ability to write clear and detailed test cases and bug reports.
- Basic knowledge of SQL and understanding of how web applications and APIs operate.
- Proficient in written and spoken English.
- Strong attention to detail with a curious and analytical mindset.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- ISTQB Foundation certification or completion of a QA-related course.
- Experience with test management and bug tracking tools like Jira or TestRail.
