We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect to design, develop, and oversee the implementation of scalable, secure, and high-performance enterprise solutions. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in software architecture, distributed systems, messaging platforms, caching strategies, and enterprise integration. This role involves translating complex business requirements into robust technical architectures that meet rigorous standards for availability, maintainability, and security, while addressing challenging engineering problems.

Key Responsibilities

- Own the end-to-end solution architecture for enterprise initiatives, ensuring designs are scalable, secure, highly available, and maintainable.
- Develop architecture blueprints, technical designs, integration strategies, and architectural standards aligned with business priorities.
- Design distributed systems and microservices capable of handling high transaction volumes and concurrent processing, applying appropriate architectural styles and design patterns.
- Lead the design and implementation of distributed caching solutions using Redis, managing cache invalidation, TTL, consistency, and caching strategies such as cache-aside or write-through.
- Define asynchronous communication and event-driven architectures using platforms like Apache Kafka or RabbitMQ, ensuring reliable message processing and recovery mechanisms.
- Architect fault-tolerant workflows, inter-service communication, and distributed transaction management using patterns such as Saga, CQRS, Event Sourcing, Outbox, Idempotency, Circuit Breaker, Retry, and Bulkhead.
- Address architectural challenges related to data consistency, concurrency, duplicate processing, race conditions, synchronization, and eventual consistency.
- Establish strategies for high availability, fault tolerance, load balancing, horizontal scaling, and disaster recovery with defined recovery objectives.
- Design secure APIs and enterprise integrations across internal services, external systems, third-party providers, and legacy applications.
- Set architecture guidelines, coding standards, security best practices, and measurable non-functional requirements covering performance, availability, maintainability, and observability.
- Lead architecture and design reviews, identify technical risks, evaluate technology alternatives, and recommend solutions based on trade-offs, feasibility, and lifecycle costs.
- Collaborate closely with product owners, engineering, DevOps, security, and infrastructure teams to ensure solutions align with approved architecture.
- Provide senior-level technical leadership, mentor engineers, and resolve complex design issues throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Validate critical architectural decisions through prototypes, design walkthroughs, and performance or failure-scenario testing, clearly explaining pattern choices and system behavior under load and partial failure.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field from an accredited university. A Master’s degree is preferred.
- At least 8 years of professional experience in software engineering, system design, and enterprise solution architecture, with proven hands-on delivery of production-grade distributed systems and demonstrated technical leadership.

Skills and Competencies

- Strong knowledge of architecture paradigms including Microservices, Modular Monoliths, Layered/Clean Architecture, SOLID principles, Domain-Driven Design (DDD), and architectural trade-offs.
- Expertise in distributed systems concepts such as transactions, consistency models, concurrency, synchronization, fault tolerance, retries, idempotency, locking, rate limiting, and back-pressure.
- Proficiency with messaging platforms like Kafka or RabbitMQ, including delivery guarantees, ordering, partitioning, acknowledgments, retries, dead-letter queues, consumer groups, and Saga workflows.
- Experience with caching technologies such as Redis, including cache invalidation, TTL, consistency, and caching strategies; familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases, partitioning, indexing, replication, and optimization.
- Strong background in integration technologies including REST APIs, API gateways, authentication and authorization protocols (OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, JWT), versioning, backward compatibility, and secure integration of internal, external, and legacy systems.
- Familiarity with cloud-native technologies and operations including Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, blue-green and canary deployments, logging, tracing, monitoring, and defining service-level objectives.
- Proven leadership skills in conducting design reviews, mentoring engineers, and effectively communicating architectural decisions, implementation implications, and associated risks.
