Solutions Architect

We are seeking a Senior Solution Architect specializing in process automation to design executable process architectures and technical contracts that enable delivery teams and AI coding agents to implement solutions confidently and without ambiguity. This role requires a blend of solution architecture expertise—covering BPM engines, integrations, data, and cloud platforms—with hands-on guidance for complex ERP-linked environments. Familiarity with modern AI tools such as ChatGPT is essential.

Key Responsibilities
Lead discovery and architecture sessions with both business and technical stakeholders to translate goals into executable solution architectures. Design comprehensive process automation architectures using Camunda 7/8 or comparable BPM engines like Flowable, covering BPMN/DMN boundaries, workers, connectors, human tasks, and long-running process patterns. Align enterprise architecture views using frameworks such as ArchiMate or similar tools, applying TOGAF-style governance where it adds clarity. Define integration architectures involving complex ERP systems and their surrounding ecosystem, including REST APIs, event-driven communication, correlation, error handling, compensation, and process versioning. Produce detailed solution blueprints, technical contracts, architecture decision records (ADRs), and non-functional requirements addressing scalability, resilience, security, and multi-tenancy, ensuring they are precise enough for AI coding agents and automated testing. Write and review specifications and prompts for AI coding agents, validating deliverables against architectural standards and refining specifications to eliminate ambiguity. Establish and enforce architecture standards, reference models, and design principles across engineering, QA, DevOps, and product teams. Identify technical risks early, define mitigation strategies, and review critical designs and code paths to ensure maintainability. Integrate GDPR compliance, privacy by design, and authorization considerations into every architectural decision. Support pre-sales activities, estimation efforts, and client-facing architecture walkthroughs as needed.

Required Qualifications
A minimum of 10 years’ experience in software engineering and/or solution architecture roles. Demonstrated expertise designing solutions where BPMN 2.0 and DMN processes run on process engines, preferably Camunda 7 or 8. Proficiency with executable process concepts such as gateways, message/timer/error events, compensation, correlation, long-running processes, and process versioning. Experience working with complex ERP landscapes and their integrations. Strong knowledge of API ecosystems, event-based integration, data modeling, and cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP. Hands-on experience with AI-assisted software development and everyday AI tools like ChatGPT, including writing specifications and prompts for AI coding agents and validating their output. Excellent communication skills with senior technical and non-technical stakeholders, coupled with the ability to produce clear, precise, and unambiguous documentation. Working knowledge of GDPR and privacy by design principles. A bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field and excellent written and spoken English.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
TOGAF certification or practical experience with TOGAF governance frameworks. Familiarity with Camunda 8 components such as Zeebe, Operate, Tasklist, and Connectors. Experience with MACH architecture, microservices, event-driven architectures (e.g., Kafka), and multi-tenant SaaS environments. Background in education or training domains, including enrolment, scheduling, certification, and invoicing processes. Proficiency in maintaining ADRs and using Notion or similar tools as a single source of truth. Certifications such as Camunda Certified Professional or cloud architecture certifications from AWS, Azure, or GCP are advantageous.
