Solutions Architect

We are seeking a skilled Solution Architect based in Lahore, Pakistan, to lead the design and implementation of complex, scalable, and secure systems. This role requires working onsite during US time zone hours (7:00 PM – 3:00 AM). The successful candidate will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards and best practices.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the end-to-end architecture of scalable and maintainable systems, including those utilizing Redis or Valkey technologies. Collaborate with product managers, business analysts, developers, infrastructure, security teams, and stakeholders to deliver effective technical solutions. Define target architectures, integration patterns, data flows, technology standards, and deployment models across cloud, containerized, and hybrid environments. Produce and maintain comprehensive architecture documentation such as diagrams, design decisions, technical specifications, and roadmaps.

Evaluate new technologies, platforms, frameworks, and vendor products through structured analysis and proof-of-concept initiatives, providing well-documented recommendations. Design solutions with a focus on scalability, availability, resilience, performance, observability, disaster recovery, and operational supportability. Incorporate data protection, identity and access management, encryption, threat mitigation, and cybersecurity requirements into all solution designs.

Provide technical leadership throughout the software development lifecycle, from discovery and design to implementation, testing, deployment, and support. Review application, integration, database, infrastructure, and security designs to ensure compliance with architectural principles and enterprise standards. Guide development teams on design patterns, coding best practices, API design, database selection, caching strategies, and performance optimization.

Identify architectural risks, constraints, dependencies, and technical debt, developing practical mitigation or modernization plans. Partner with global teams to conduct design reviews, resolve technical challenges, and ensure consistent, high-quality delivery.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. A minimum of five years of professional experience in software architecture, solution architecture, systems design, or senior application development. Proven expertise in designing medium- to large-scale applications within cloud, containerized, distributed, or hybrid environments.

Strong understanding of architectural principles, design patterns, microservices, APIs, integration methods, event-driven systems, and distributed computing. Proficiency in application development using Java, Python, or comparable modern programming languages and frameworks. Experience with relational databases such as Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, or PostgreSQL, coupled with solid data modeling skills.

Hands-on experience with AWS services and cloud architecture; knowledge of Azure or Google Cloud platforms is advantageous. Familiarity with containerization, orchestration, infrastructure as code, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring tools, and DevSecOps practices. Deep knowledge of secure architecture, privacy, identity and access management, encryption, vulnerability management, and cybersecurity best practices.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. Strong analytical, critical-thinking, documentation, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
