Acting as a key service partner, this role collaborates closely with Relationship Managers, Product Sales, Operations, and other internal stakeholders to resolve client channel issues and identify opportunities to enhance overall client service. The position focuses on delivering high-quality support, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and driving continuous improvements in operational efficiency within Standard Chartered Bank Pakistan’s lending and corporate banking units.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional service aligned with agreed service and delivery standards, maintaining minimal error rates.
- Continuously improve operational processes to enhance efficiency, consistency, and effectiveness.
- Provide expert support and advice to Relationship Managers across all lending units regarding documentation, including origination where necessary.
- Offer excellent service and guidance to Corporate and Institutional Banking clients on channel activation, pre-transactional inquiries, setup, training, and related issues.
- Identify opportunities to streamline and automate processes, promoting standard work and best practices.
- Manage all relevant onboarding processes, including creation and review of Customer Due Diligence (CDD) for new and existing clients, and perform regulatory onboarding activities.
- Lead GIC and network onboarding processes and conduct thorough checks on CDD outputs, ensuring adherence to policies and standards.
- Collaborate effectively with stakeholders throughout the end-to-end CDD process and act as a checker to validate CDD outputs from Client Delivery Makers.
- Enforce compliance requirements, escalate issues as necessary, and adhere to internal controls, policies, and regulatory frameworks.
- Perform account opening activities in coordination with onshore and Hub teams to ensure timely system setup.
- Manage Straight2Bank channel activation requests, including client access, transaction banking testing setups, and other internal operational setups for Corporate and Institutional Banking clients.
- Conduct quality checks on activities, documentation, and outputs related to account opening and channel activation.
- Maintain awareness of the regulatory environment and comply with Money Laundering Prevention Procedures, reporting suspicious activities promptly.
- Proactively manage risks, establish and monitor controls, and ensure strong due diligence on document safekeeping and data confidentiality.
- Verify documentation accuracy before any dispensation and ensure full compliance with internal policies, credit policies, and external regulatory requirements.
- Undertake periodic self-assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of key controls.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in client service or operational roles within banking, preferably in corporate or institutional banking environments.
- Strong knowledge of documentation processes, Customer Due Diligence, and regulatory onboarding requirements.
- Familiarity with channel activation processes, including Straight2Bank and related corporate banking platforms.
- Understanding of compliance, risk management, and anti-money laundering regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams and clients.
- Ability to analyze processes and recommend improvements for operational efficiency.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
