This role involves partnering closely with Relationship Managers, Product Sales, Operations, and other key internal stakeholders to resolve client channel issues and identify opportunities to enhance overall client service. The position requires a proactive approach to delivering high-quality support, ensuring compliance, and driving continuous improvement in operational processes within the banking environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional service aligned with agreed service and delivery standards, maintaining minimal error rates.
- Continuously improve operational efficiency and effectiveness by standardizing and streamlining processes.
- Provide expert support and advice to Relationship Managers across all lending units on documentation matters, including origination where necessary.
- Offer excellent service and guidance to Corporate and Institutional Banking clients regarding channel activation, pre-transactional inquiries, setup, training, and related issues.
- Identify opportunities to enhance processes through automation and promote best practices and standard work.
- Manage all relevant onboarding processes, including creation and review of Customer Due Diligence (CDD) for new and existing clients, ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Drive Global Inward Correspondent (GIC) and network onboarding activities, performing necessary checks and collaborating effectively with stakeholders throughout the end-to-end CDD process.
- Act as a checker for CDD outputs from Client Delivery Makers, ensuring adherence to policies and standards.
- Enforce compliance requirements and internal controls related to processes, products, policies, and regulations, escalating issues as needed.
- Coordinate account opening activities in partnership with onshore and hub teams to ensure timely system setup.
- Handle processing requests for various channels such as Straight2Bank, including internal setups for Client Access and Transaction Banking implementation testing.
- Conduct thorough checks on documentation and outputs within account opening and channel activation processes.
- Maintain awareness of the regulatory framework applicable to the banking group and ensure compliance with Money Laundering Prevention Procedures, reporting suspicious activities promptly.
- Proactively manage risks, monitor controls, and uphold data confidentiality and document safekeeping.
- Ensure documentation accuracy before any exceptions or dispensations are granted by the bank.
- Comply with internal, credit, regulatory, and statutory policies and undertake periodic self-assessments to verify control effectiveness.
Required Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of banking operations, particularly in corporate and institutional banking channels.
- Experience in customer due diligence, onboarding, and regulatory compliance.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multiple stakeholders and manage complex processes.
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy, risk management, and adherence to policies.
- Excellent communication skills to provide clear guidance and support to Relationship Managers and clients.
- Familiarity with channel activation platforms such as Straight2Bank and related banking products.
- Understanding of anti-money laundering regulations and operational risk management.
