The Contract Commercial Support Specialist plays a vital role in ensuring the efficient operation of the contract management team by providing daily operational support to the Team Manager and Senior Specialist. This position is responsible for accurate contract data entry into CPQ, managing global orders—including new, amended, and renewal contracts—and tracking case statuses to ensure smooth transaction flow from deal creation to fulfillment. The specialist collaborates closely with Sales and other departments to resolve client inquiries and contract issues promptly, maintaining compliance with pricing, legal standards, and internal procedures. By supporting audit readiness and contributing to process improvements, this role helps uphold high standards of contract management and operational accuracy within the team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform accurate contract data entry into CPQ deals.
- Manage all global orders, focusing on new orders, amendments, renewals, and complex accounts such as Global Majors and Strategic Customers.
- Track case statuses to ensure smooth processing from deal creation through fulfillment and invoicing.
- Monitor escalations from Sales, Client Services, and other teams, gathering necessary information to resolve issues promptly.
- Assist Sales with client inquiries related to products, billing, account and contract status, address changes, cancellations, and rebill requests.
- Provide comprehensive contract management support to the sales organization, including participation in BPM meetings and reporting on key account statuses.
- Ensure full adherence to the CPQ ecosystem and all service procedures, delivering actionable and solution-oriented metrics to business partners.
- Meet or exceed business SLAs through effective prioritization and timely issue resolution.
- Collaborate across departments within S&P Global Energy to resolve contract management issues efficiently.
- Contribute to reviewing and enhancing departmental processes and workflows.
- Document all activities, communications, and case progress within CPQ.
- Support audit preparedness by providing required documentation and information.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
- Proven experience in contract management and order processing.
- Demonstrated proficiency in accurate data entry within CPQ systems or similar platforms.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to track case statuses and ensure smooth transaction processing.
- Ability to work effectively across multiple departments and teams.

Work Requirements:
- Primary working hours: 5:00 AM to 2:00 PM US ET / 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM PK Time.
- Flexible schedule availability to meet critical deadlines.
- Occasional travel and work on regional holidays may be required.
