Specialist, Demand Planning

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Supply Planner to join our team and contribute to maintaining efficient inventory and supply chain operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop weekly replenishment plans at the supplier level, utilizing inventory parameters, actual sell-out data, and forecasted demand.
- Participate actively in Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) forecast meetings to align supply plans with business needs.
- Calculate accurate supply plans based on demand forecasts to ensure product availability.
- Prepare and update monthly and weekly supply planning files along with KPI reports reflecting actual performance.
- Maintain optimal inventory levels in distribution centers and stores, adhering to target days of cover.
- Collaborate closely with demand planning specialists to adjust supply plans as necessary.
- Monitor supplier performance and escalate issues promptly to prevent supply disruptions.
- Identify slow-moving SKUs and communicate findings to stakeholders to initiate corrective actions.
- Flag SKUs with no inventory movement for over 28 days for further review.
- Work with inventory controllers to balance stock levels across warehouses efficiently.
- Take ownership of the category group by managing S&OP-related issues, particularly in ordering and availability.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to support projects, drive initiatives, and resolve operational challenges.
- Perform additional tasks relevant to the supply planning function as required.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Mathematics, Economics, or a related field.
- 2 to 3 years of professional experience in demand or supply planning.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to work with large datasets to identify patterns, trends, and actionable insights.
- Exceptional attention to detail and business acumen.
- Proficient in Excel and/or Google Sheets for data processing and analysis.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, often ambiguous environment while maintaining strong organizational skills.
- A mindset focused on continuous improvement.
