Specialist I - DevOps Engineering

We are looking for a highly skilled and hands-on DevOps CI/CD Engineer to take full ownership of the implementation, administration, optimization, and governance of our enterprise GitHub and CI/CD ecosystem. This role is focused on technical leadership and engineering rather than traditional support. You will design and maintain scalable CI/CD workflows, establish enterprise GitHub standards, troubleshoot complex pipeline issues, and promote the adoption of modern DevOps and DevSecOps practices across multiple engineering teams. Collaboration with development, QA, operations, security, architecture, and cloud engineering teams is essential to build reliable, secure, and highly automated software delivery processes.

Key Responsibilities
- Own the design, implementation, and maintenance of scalable CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and Azure DevOps.
- Establish and enforce enterprise-wide GitHub standards, including repository governance, branching strategies, pull requests, and code reviews.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues within CI/CD pipelines and GitHub Enterprise environments.
- Drive the adoption of DevOps and DevSecOps best practices across engineering teams to enhance security and automation.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams such as development, QA, security, architecture, and cloud engineering to ensure seamless software delivery.
- Optimize and automate software delivery processes to improve reliability, security, and efficiency.
- Manage and support GitHub Enterprise infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance.

Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 8 years of technical IT experience with significant hands-on expertise in DevOps, CI/CD, or Platform Engineering roles.
- Proven experience managing and supporting GitHub Enterprise environments at scale.
- Strong hands-on experience with GitHub Actions and Azure DevOps for pipeline creation and management.
- Deep understanding of Git, including branching strategies, pull requests, code reviews, and repository governance.
- Demonstrated ability to design, implement, troubleshoot, and optimize CI/CD pipelines effectively.
- Hands-on experience with Docker containerization and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Azure cloud services and infrastructure.
- Experience implementing DevSecOps practices within CI/CD pipelines to enhance security posture.
- Excellent troubleshooting and debugging skills to resolve complex pipeline and infrastructure issues.
- Proficient in scripting and automation using PowerShell, Bash, Python, or similar languages.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with global engineering teams.
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to engage with diverse stakeholders.
