The Specialist Master Data Management (MDM) role is focused on managing and optimizing master data elements to support organizational systems and processes. This position involves data analytics, performance reporting, and ensuring data integrity across the MDM function. The Specialist will work closely with the MDM team to drive digital transformation initiatives and support the effective use of Oracle modules. Reporting directly to the Manager MDM, this role does not have direct reports but plays a critical part in coordinating with stakeholders and project management offices to ensure smooth execution of data-related projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Create, modify, implement, and maintain master data to enhance system capabilities and user experience.
- Analyze and enrich master data elements, optimizing data flow between users and stakeholders.
- Ensure data governance, integrity, and compliance with IT policies.
- Lead initiatives to improve data management processes, including data cleansing and enrichment.
- Perform MDM reporting and data analytics using Oracle Fusion OTBI and other tools.
- Support process improvement and automation efforts within the MDM function.
- Coordinate new developments and reporting requirements with relevant stakeholders.
- Assist the team in utilizing and further developing Oracle modules effectively.
- Identify, evaluate, and implement AI use cases related to Vendor Master Data (VMD) and Item Master Data, including duplicate detection, data classification, attribute validation, anomaly detection, and intelligent reporting, while maintaining appropriate governance and human oversight.
- Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for IT system upgrades, patches, and new deployments impacting MDM processes.
- Ensure data security, access controls, and compliance with IT governance policies for master data.
- Collaborate with the Project Management Office (PMO) to track progress, milestones, and deliverables of MDM-related projects.
- Prepare and share project status updates, dashboards, and reports for governance reviews.
- Support PMO in risk identification, mitigation planning, and change management for data-related initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Management, Business, Finance, or a related field, along with relevant certifications.
- 1 to 3 years of experience in master data management or related roles; experience in the telecommunications sector is advantageous.
- Hands-on experience with Oracle Fusion, including proficiency in Oracle Fusion OTBI for reporting, dashboards, and data analysis.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret Fusion reports, identify data quality issues, and support resolution efforts.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to negotiate and solve problems effectively.
- Solid understanding of master data quality concepts and experience using analytics or AI tools to detect duplicates, anomalies, and inconsistencies in vendor and item data.
- Working knowledge of AI, generative AI, data analytics, or automation tools, with the capability to translate business requirements into practical AI-enabled MDM solutions.
