Specialist - Software Engineering

Non Karat is seeking an Onboarding Engineer with expertise in PAM products, Windows and Linux servers, Kubernetes, Terraform, Jenkins, CI/CD concepts, Ansible, and Secrets Management. The primary focus of this role is to support and enhance the on-premises HashiCorp Vault environment by providing consultation services to new consumers integrating with Vault. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Vault integration, automation, and troubleshooting, along with excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively across diverse teams.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide consultation and onboarding support for new users integrating with the on-premises HashiCorp Vault environment.
- Advise on onboarding strategies, including best practices for Secrets Engines and Authentication methods.
- Develop comprehensive documentation and self-help materials to enable developers to onboard independently.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service health, resilience, and operational efficiency.
- Act as a subject matter expert (SME) in solution design and contribute to strategic program progress.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with business stakeholders and internal technical teams.
- Manage ad hoc out-of-hours work in accordance with change management policies when required.

Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience working with HashiCorp Vault in an on-premises environment.
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience with HashiCorp Terraform and automation development.
- Proven expertise in Vault integration, specifically with Secrets Engines and Authentication methods.
- Strong troubleshooting skills related to Vault inefficiencies, including failed calls, usage monitoring, and service optimization.
- Experience managing crisis calls, resolving complex issues, and developing root cause remediation plans.
- Ability to design and implement enterprise-level monitoring solutions using tools such as Splunk, Grafana, AppDynamics, or SCOM.
- Familiarity with technologies deployed at scale within a global IT enterprise environment.
- Experience working in Agile teams, managing tasks in Jira, and handling service requests via Jira Service Desk.
- Proficiency in coding, scripting, and using GitHub with adherence to code management best practices.
- Knowledge of audit and compliance processes and experience responding to related requests.
- Experience serving as a Scrum Master or managing Jira boards and task prioritization.
- Strong interpersonal, influencing, communication, and report-writing skills.
- Ability to engage effectively with users across varying technical skill levels.
- Excellent analytical skills with a focus on collaborative problem-solving.
- Capability to work across multiple countries, cultural contexts, and time zones.
