Neurolux International is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech and Language Pathologist (SLP) to join its multidisciplinary clinical team in Rawalpindi, Pakistan. The successful candidate will work primarily with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), developmental delays, speech and language disorders, and other neurodevelopmental conditions. This role involves conducting thorough assessments, designing individualized intervention plans, delivering evidence-based therapies, and collaborating closely with families and other clinical professionals to enhance clients’ communication and functional abilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments for children with developmental and communication challenges.
- Develop and implement tailored speech and language therapy plans based on individual client needs and developmental levels.
- Provide therapy addressing receptive and expressive language difficulties, speech sound disorders, articulation and phonological issues, and delayed language development.
- Support the development of functional communication, vocabulary, sentence formation, conversational skills, and pragmatic/social communication.
- Apply appropriate communication strategies for children with ASD and other neurodevelopmental disorders.
- Assess and support alternative and augmentative communication (AAC) needs when necessary.
- Maintain accurate clinical records, session notes, progress reports, and treatment plans.
- Monitor client progress and adjust intervention strategies based on clinical observations and assessment outcomes.
- Provide parent counseling, caregiver training, and home-based communication strategies to encourage skill generalization.
- Collaborate effectively with behavior therapists, occupational therapists, psychologists, special educators, and other relevant professionals.
- Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions, clinical meetings, and treatment planning sessions.
- Uphold professional ethics, confidentiality, safeguarding standards, and clinic protocols.
- Ensure therapy materials and clinical equipment are properly used and organized.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Speech and Language Pathology (BS SLP) or an equivalent recognized qualification specifically in this field.
- Minimum of six months of relevant clinical experience in speech and language therapy.
- Experience or clinical placement involving children with ASD, ADHD, developmental delays, or other communication disorders.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, documentation, and clinical observation skills.
- Ability to build professional rapport with children and their families.
- Willingness to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary clinical team.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
