Sports Short Form Video Editor

We are seeking a creative and dependable Video Editor to produce engaging short-form sports videos tailored for platforms such as Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, Facebook, and TikTok. The primary focus will be on Cricket content, but the ideal candidate should also be comfortable editing videos related to Wrestling, UFC/MMA, Boxing, and other major sports. This role demands a strong sense of storytelling, pacing, and audience engagement to create compelling videos that resonate with sports fans.

Key Responsibilities
- Edit short-form sports videos, typically ranging from 30 to 60 seconds in length.
- Produce captivating content across Cricket, UFC/MMA, Wrestling, Boxing, and other sports genres.
- Craft strong hooks within the opening seconds to maximize viewer retention.
- Incorporate captions, transitions, sound effects, music, graphics, and relevant visuals to enhance video quality.
- Transform news updates, match highlights, statistics, opinions, and scripts into dynamic video content.
- Stay updated with current social media editing trends while maintaining a natural and polished look without over-editing.
- Deliver videos promptly, especially when covering breaking sports news or trending topics.
- Ensure a consistent visual style is maintained across all sports-related pages and platforms.

Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in short-form video editing with a portfolio demonstrating your work.
- Strong understanding of pacing, storytelling techniques, and strategies to boost audience retention.
- Basic knowledge of Cricket is highly preferred to effectively capture the sport’s nuances.
- Familiarity with UFC/MMA, WWE/Wrestling, Boxing, or other sports is a significant advantage.
- Ability to source appropriate footage, images, and supporting visuals when necessary.
- Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, or similar tools.
- Excellent communication skills and reliability in meeting deadlines consistently.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Experience creating a variety of sports video formats including match previews, predictions, post-match analysis, breaking news, player and fighter stories, statistics, comparisons, top moments, records, and trending sports topics.
- Ability to produce short explainers and opinion-based videos that engage and inform the audience.
