Our client, Alpha, is seeking a part-time Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Engineer to join their team in Karachi. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about software quality and wants to contribute to delivering high-quality products while managing other commitments. The position offers a monthly salary of 12,000 PKR and provides an excellent opportunity to develop skills in both manual and automated testing within a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
Design and implement comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts to ensure thorough coverage of software features. Execute both manual and automated tests to validate software functionality and performance. Identify, document, and track defects systematically, working closely with developers and product managers to clarify requirements and resolve issues. Participate in code reviews, offering constructive feedback focused on quality improvements. Continuously refine testing processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Provide regular reports on testing progress and results to relevant stakeholders, ensuring transparency throughout the development cycle.
Required Qualifications
A minimum of six months’ experience in software quality assurance is essential. Candidates should have a strong understanding of software testing methodologies and be familiar with test case management tools. Basic programming knowledge is advantageous but not mandatory. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills are required, along with a keen attention to detail and a strong commitment to maintaining high-quality standards. Proficiency with test automation tools such as Selenium or JUnit, and bug tracking systems like JIRA or Bugzilla, is expected. Basic SQL knowledge and familiarity with Agile development methodologies will support success in this role.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
Experience with performance testing tools is considered a plus, as is knowledge of Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
